March is done... Time to donate the fuel savings!
So here is the breakdown:
Total miles rode in March: 234.61 miles (as per My Tracks-2011-March)
Current Diesel Fuel price at my local Turkey Hill: $3.99 a gallon (see pic below)
My savings per mile: .31 cents ($3.99 gallon divided by 13mpg)
Total savings: $72.72 (234.61 miles times .31 cents a mile)
$72.72 divide by 2 = $36.36 per charity.
I will be mailing a check to both charities for $36.36 each.
If anyone else would like to donate you can do so to the charities below:
